Approximately 1 hr 30 minutes drive along the coast from Cape Town is the town of Langebaan. The surrounding picturesque beaches and crystal clear, shallow water areas off Langabaan are one of its’ main attractions. Langebaan’s protected lagoon, consistent wind and fairly shallow, warm waters offers ideal learning conditions as well as high speed, flat water blasting. Once you’re confident enough to venture out, the sailing area provides both sheltered and windier spots, flat water and waves. The Langebaan windsurf centre offers ready to use rental of the latest Tabou Windsurf boards and the latest Gaastra and Vandal sails, as well as kitesurfing equipment, wetsuits, float vests, surf boards, body boards and stand up paddle boards. There is also a shop on site where you can purchase new or second hand kit of your own.
